Eze Welewa commended the security agencies in the area for the prevailing peace in Aluu and the state and charged them to remain apolitical in the discharge of their duties during the election.

The monarch stated that the prevailing peace in the area was made possible by the efforts of the Onelga Security Planning and Action Committee (OSPAC), the IGP monitoring team and the police division in the area.

According to the monarch Aluu has been restored as a land of peace. Today Aluu is peaceful and no longer known for evils deeds.  We contribute at least N100,000 monthly to support OSPAC operation in our community in addition to donations from private individuals; so we are 100% in support of OSPAC and other security agencies to keep peace in Aluu, he said.

On the relationship between the University of Port Harcourt and the community, the Paramount ruler commended the university authorities for their contributions to the community.

Community Development Committee Chairman (CDC) of the community, Hon Worlu Prince Nduka expressed appreciation to OSPAC and the security agencies in the area for the peace in Aluu, stressing that they had depended on internal security arrangements before the arrival of OSPAC.

Hon. Worlu attributed the criminal activities to the community to the presence of some criminal’s elements that ran away from other communities to cause problem in Aluu.

He however disagreed with the notion that the existence of the University of Port Harcourt in the area may have contributed to the influx of criminals in Aluu.
