Abducted Ex-SPDC Staff, Found Dead On Woji Bridge
The lifeless body of a retired staff of the Shell Petroleum Development Company Limited (SPDC) identified as ATK, Amah reported to have been kidnapped from his home on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 in Woji Town has been discovered along the Odili-Woji bridge in the Trans Amadi area of Port Harcourt.
Mr. Amah, a former Chairman of the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Employees (NUPENG) according to family sources, was abducted by gunmen around 8pm last Tuesday from his residence at Wigwe Community, in Woji town in Obio/Akpor Local Government area of Rivers State.
His corpse was found the following day Wednesday, apparently dumped along the ALCON bridge linking Odili road and Woji town by his suspected abductors.
Son of the deceased, Amah Aperepikiya who confirmed the story with sadness said men of the underworld stormed their home and took away his father, killed him and dumped his body along the bridge.
When contacted, the PPRO, River State Police Command, SP Nnamdi Omoni confirmed the incident but stated that the command has begun investigations on the matter.
