Bishop Charges Anglicans To Increase Evangelism
The Bishop of Diocese of Okrika, Rt. Rev. Enoch Atuboyedia has enjoined Anglican faithful to convert at least one soul for Christ before the end of the year, so that the Church will continue to grow and have a strong voice.
The Bishop gave the charge in his sermon during his enthronement services as the second Bishop of the Diocese of St. Peters Cathedral Okrika in Okrika Local Government Area.
He said the clergy have a major role to play and warned that it would not be business as usually.
Rt. Rev. Atuboyedia promised to consolidate on the gains of the retired Bishop of the Diocese, Rt. Rev. Tubokosemie Abere as no one could succeed without a good successor.
In his speech, the Archbishop of Niger Delta Province and Bishop, Diocese of Calabar, Most Revd. Tunde Adeleye thanked God for the epoch making ceremony and also commended the Okrika Diocese for their unity and support and pleaded with them to extend same to the new Bishop.
Archbishop Adeleye, who was represented by the Bishop of Ikwerre Diocese, Rt. Revd. Precious Okechukwu Nwala also lauded the retired Bishop Tubokosemie Abere for uniting the church and for a peaceful hand-over and prayed God to give the new Bishop the strength and wisdom to function.
