Bille Hails Appointment Of Indigene as NNPC Chief
Youths in Bille Kingdom in Degema Local Government Area have joined in congratulating Engr. Adokiye Tombomieye over his elevation to the position of the Chief Operating Officer, Upstream of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
A prominent Youth Leader in Bille Kingdom, Comrade Francis Iso Johnbull who addressed newsmen over the weekend on the development, said Bille youths were delighted that a son of the soil has attained such lofty position in the oil industry in the country.
Johnbull who expressed confidence in the ability of Engr. Tombomieye to make the Bille Kingdom, Niger Delta and Nigeria Proud in discharging his responsibility in his new position, however, added that his promotion did not come to him and youths in the Kingdom as a surprise considering what he termed the personal qualities and demonstrated capacity of the highly respected Bille born Engineer.
The youth leader on behalf of the youths in the kingdom expressed appreciation to Engr. Tombomieye for his numerous contribution to human and infrastructural development of the kingdom.
He stated that the recent conferment on him of the title of Ama Belemabo I of Bille Kingdom by the Bille Chiefs Council, testifies to the high regard of the people for Engr. Tombomieye.
He further assured the new NNPC Chief Operating Officer (Upstream) of the support of the youths and people of the kingdom in his new role, and thanked President Mohammadu Buhari and the Minister of State for Petroleum, Chief Timipreye Silva for finding their son worthy of the appointment.
