NBTE Accredits 14 New Programmes In Elechi Amadi Polytechnic
Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic (CEAP) Rumuola in Rivers has added 14 new programmes to its courses of study in the institution.
Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Sam Kalagbor disclosed this during the 29th Matriculation Ceremony in the Polytechnic.
Dr. Kalagbor stated that the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) approved 14 of the 16 programmes submitted to the board by the institution.
The Rector who described the development as a milestone in the history of the insituti9on also disclosed that the board equally granted institutional accreditation to all programmes offered in the polytechnic.
He said the polytechnic is being repositioned to prepare students in an atmosphere of excellence, emphasizing that the academic programs of the institution are structured to improve the human potentials and marketability of its grandaunts.
While urging the over 2,900 newly registered students for the National and Higher Diploma programmes of the institution to take advantage of the improved, academic atmosphere in the polytechnic to excel in their chosen vision, Dr. Kalagbor announced that the Tertiary Education Technical Fund (TETFUND) is on the verge of approving funds for the infrastructural expansion in the institution.
The Rector added that the Rivers State Government has also approved the released of funds for the erection of a two storey building and reconstruction of the Governing Councils Chambers of the Polytechnic.
“I call on students of the institution to adhere to the code and ethics of the polytechnic as the institution will not condone any untoward behavior, as any breach from students and staff will be met with sanction,” the rector warned.
