Amanyanabo Flays Ogu/Bolo LG Boss Over Performance
The Amanyanabo of Ogu Kingdom, His Majesty, King Nicholas Dickson Ibiebele Nimenibo, Loko IX has berated the Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, Hon, Victor Erasmus over his performance since assumption of office.
The King made the assertion while addressing the people of KuruKuru Group of Houses during his royal visit described activities of the Local Government Chairman as the worst since the inception of the council.
According to him, the local Government council under this administration is like a grave yard on daily basis while the communities are in total darkness and without water; stressing that over-grown grasses have taken over the roads with potholes.
The Ogu monarch lamented that even stipends meant for the upkeep of the Chiefs as approved through a bye-law made by the legislative Assembly are not paid, and called on the councilors to dialogue with the chairman on how to carry out their constitutional duties for the development of the people in the local government.
He opined that the legislators should not relent on their effort to bring progress to the local government area pointing out that if the chairman failed they have also failed the masses.
The first-class Traditional Ruler said time will come when they will give account of their stewardship to the people that elected them stating that the essence of having a local government council had been defeated under the present administration. He urged the leader of the legislative, Hon. Joakin Tamunoyemiari to raise the issues on the floor of the Legislative Assembly for deliberation and quick response, so that the people of the local government will enjoy the dividends of democracy.
