Ministry To Partner Rivers Peace Project On Rebranding
Rivers State Ministry of Information has promised to partner the Rivers Peace Project to rebrand the state.
Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information, Mr. Paulinus Nsirim made this known while responding to a speech presented by the coordinator of the Rivers Peace Project, Hon. John Egwim during a courtesy visit.
Nsirim said the group’s focus of rebranding Rivers State through messages of Peace was in line with what the Ministry was doing recently to refocus the state.
He stressed that although there was peace in the state, the ministry nevertheless introduced “Our State Our Responsibility” slogan and urged them to promote it.
Earlier, the Coordinator, Rivers Peace Project, Hon. John Egwim said the group appreciated what the Ministry was doing to promote peace and good governance in the state and particularly commended the Ministry for introducing ‘Our State Our Responsibility” slogan aimed at instilling peace and patriotism in Rivers people.
The Project Coordinator stressed that peace is necessary and crucial for development and commended Governor Wike for pursuing policies and programmes aimed at fostering peace and unity.
Egwim said the focus of the group is to sustain the existing peace through sensitization and appealed to the Ministry to collaborate with them to carry out public awareness campaigns, lectures, workshops, radio/television talk shows etc.
The Rivers Peace Project coordinator presented a musical Album titled, “Investors Are Welcome to Rivers State” to the Permanent Secretary, stating that the music was geared towards inviting investors to Rivers State and to assure the world that the State is peaceful.
