Etche Chairman Dedicates Award To Constituents …As NIM Honours Prominent Nigerians

Executive Chairman of Etche Local Government Area, Hon. Obinna Anyanwu on Friday dedicated the Achievers Award conferred on him by the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), Rumuolumeni chapter, to the people of the local government.

Prominent Nigerians including the Etche Local Government Chairman were conferred with awards of excellence by the body. Others conferred with the award included, the former Governor of Rivers State Mr. Celestine Omehia, Vice Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Professor, Mercury Ndimele and his predecessor, Professor Rosemond Osahaogulu and the Registrar of AIU, Hope Branidim, among others.

Speaking on behalf of other awardees, Hon. Obima expressed commendation to NIM, Rumuolumeni chapter for the honour, stressing that for the body to have found the awardees fit for the recognition, shows that their contributions and services to humanity is being appreciated.

He told journalist after the event that the award to him by the body will serve to spur him to continue to provide the needed services to his people.

The chairman expressed appreciation to the people of Etche for the honour of choosing him to serve the area; adding that the award is dedicated to the people of the area.

He thanked Governor Nyesom Wike for given him the opportunity to serve in the capacity, stressing the need for those who have opportunity to serve humanity to do so with dedication and almost integrity.

Chairman of the NIM, Rumuolumeni Chapter, Dr. Jude Nwoka in his address, said the occasion serves as opportunity for members and friends to interact and share knowledge on various aspects of management issues that are of national importance with the view to making recommendation for solutions.

He commended the NIM for providing the forum for members as managers to show their commitments and contributions in various sectors of the public service and national development, stressing that issues of corporate governance and leadership in public and private sector in Nigerian economy are quiet apt for discussion.

Highlights of the event which was chaired by Hon. Emi Membere Otaji, included a lecture titled; Ethical Consideration in Public Organizations; A bedrock for Organizational Success; delivered by Professor Isaac Zeb Obipi of the Rivers State University and the conferment of achievers awards to recipients.
