Awara Renews Dreams To Occupy Brick House
Gubernatorial candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) for Rivers State in the last governorship election, Engr. Biokpomabo Awara has expressed confidence that he will emerge triumphant at the state governorship election tribunal in the state.
Speaking at the launch of a book Destined to Rule, an autobiography of the Amanyanabo of Kula, HRM King, Dr. Kroma Eleki (Jp) in Port Harcourt, Engr. Awara expressed delight at the decision of the electoral, appeal tribunal which ordered the return of the case challenging the declaration of Governor Nyesom Wike as duly elected in the governorship election held in the state for trial at the state election tribunal.
Awara who described the decision of the tribunal as triumph of justice, regretted that so much underhand dealings were deployed by his opponent to that the appeal court Judgment offers hope to enduring democracy, and a step to changing the prevailing narratives in the state.
The AAC candidate urged Rivers people to keep their hope alive and expressed dismay over what he termed the abject misgovenance going in the state.
He expressed hope that the tribunal will give judgment in his favor, as according to him, God had assured him that he will certainly occupy the seat of governor of Rivers State.
Engr. Awara however appealed to Governor Nyesom Wike not to go on appeal, whenever the tribunal finally decides the matter in his favour; stressing that God usually allows certain circumstances to prevail in order to manifest his will.
He also stressed the need for the people of the state to remain patient assuring that the people will witness a change when he takes over the mantle of leadership of the state.
