Ijaw Waterfront Women Hail Ogu Monarch’s Peace Strategy
Ijaw waterfront women in Ogu/Bolo local government chapter have hailed the Amayanabo of Ogu kingdom, his majesty, King Nicholas Dickson Ibiebele Nimenibo, Loko IX for successfully hosting a peace and unity football competition as part of his strategy to ensure security in the area.
President of the group, Sarah Gbelabo and the Ogu/Bolo Chapter coordinator Charity Nangibo in a statement said the initiative was in line with the recent award of “father of peace” bestowed on him by the group.
They noted that the monarch who is an ambassador and justice of peace in the state has lived up to expectation as the Amanyanabo of Ogu kingdom as there had been peace and unity in the community and enjoined him to keep the tempo.
They stated that his reign will continue to give the people reasons to be happy and described the peace football cup competition as unique and remarkable in the history of Ogu kingdom.
The statement also called on other sports loving individuals and corporate organization to borrow a leaf in order to engage the youths from social vices.
They pledged their loyalty and co-operation with the traditional ruler and also called on the people of the area to sustain the existing peace and unity by co-operating with the Amanyanabo.
