Monarch Canvasses More Security In Alakahia
The traditional ruler of Alakahia community in Obio Akpor local government area of Rivers state HRH, Eze Daniel Ogbonna Dodo (JP) has appealed for the deployment of more security personnel in the community to assist in tackling the spate of insecurity in the area.
Speaking after receiving an award presented by the management of a Port Harcourt based media outfit, ‘The Weekly Watch Newspaper in his palace, Eze Dodo said the Alakahia community being the gate way to the state as well as the Chief host to two important institutions, the University of Port Harcourt and the University Teaching Hospital (UPTH) deserve greater attention in view of the influx of people and businesses in the area.
He appealed to the state government to come to the aid of the community in the provision of social amenities such as the reconstruction of internal roads in the area to promote easy access into the community and also promote the growth of businesses in the area.
The monarch commended the media for the services they render to the society and urged media practitioners to assist the community in projecting the achievements of leaders of the community.
Eze Dodo also expressed appreciation to the community council of chiefs, youths and women leaders and all residents of the community for their support since he ascended the throne as the traditional ruler of the community.
He pledged to continue to offer good and responsive leadership to the community without compromise. We will continue to fight for the progress of the community. Our slogan is “fearless governance; some people has gone into obscurity because of fear of speaking out against criminals but we have decided to fight it to conclusion” the monarch declared
