Okorocha Plays Jesus, Crucifies Himself …As Bus Overruns Easter Celebrants
Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state celebrated Easter by re-enacting the death and crucifixion of Jesus Christ The outspoken governor took the solemn task with all seriousness as he was pictured in his underwear, strapped to a makeshift cross, with an improvised crown of thorns and “blood-stains” on his white undergarment.
The photo of Okorocha’s crucifixion is currently making the rounds on Twitter with users having a go with hilarious captions.
Meanwhile, at least, 17 people were injured after a passenger bus ran over Christian worshippers in Numan Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
The accident occurred as some Christian faithful were on a procession marking the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Witnesses said most of the injured were women and young people, and that the driver and the vehicle were apprehended.
An eye witnesses said, “It has become a tradition that every Monday, some members of the Christian community march in procession to a nearby mountain, which they call Galilee.While they were in procession, a passenger bus came from behind them and injured so many people. It almost led to a serious crisis but the situation seems calm now. There is no case of death.”
He added, however, that the injured, many of them with bone fractures, had been admitted into different hospitals.
