Diplomat Eulogizes Retired Engineer At 70
A retired Diplomat and former member of Federal Character Commission, Chief Spiff Taribo – Amgbara has eulogized Engr. Fortune Obudiki Fubara as a great patrol and community leader whose leadership qualities are worthy of emulation.
Speaking as chairman at the 70th birthday thanksgiving ceremony of Engr. Fubara at Ogu, Headquarters of Ogu/Bolo local government area Taribo Amgbara said the celebration marks a milestone in the life of a man who was imbued with, resourcefulness, industry and technical skills, adding that the celebrant’s parents should have been alive to see the prodigious progress their son had made.
He noted that Fubara is not only a great man blessed in all ramifications and satisfied retired staff of Rivers State University as a retiree, but he had left his foot-print on the sands of time.
Also speaking, Elder Marcus Anga described the celebrant as hard-working, visionary and a socialite whose love for his community and friends cannot be over-stressed, while Chief Chu Emgbigbi from Eleme local government area described him as a man who worked tirelessly at University of Science and Technology (RSUST) now Rivers State University before he retired.
In their separate speeches, Elder James Ibaraboka Orabere, Elder Samuel Abiye Anga and Elder Richard Palibo described Engr. Fubara as a man that stands for the truth, a cheerful giver and imbued with leadership qualities.
Responding, Engr. Fortune Fubara said as the only surviving son of 22 children of his late father, Pa Elijah Patrick Fubara, with two other women remaining, he prayed God to stop early death in the family and was optimistic that all the family members will surpass the age of 70 years.
