Blue House Emerges Champion At Faasaa College Inter-House Sports

Faasaa Comprehensive College, Rumuodara 7th Annual Inter-House Sports Competition took place last Saturday, 30th March, 2019 with Blue House emerging champions.

The Blue House displayed wonderful skills in March past and other events competed for. Such events include 100m race, 200m race, relay race and filling of baskets with balls.

It defeated its closest rival, Red House with 142 points to come first. Red House scored 139 points and took the 2nd position while Yellow House came 3rd with 134 points.

An interesting aspect of the competition was novelty 100metres race by parents and teachers of the school. Some of them ran as fast as Ben Johnson and Usain Bolt, two world famous athletes.

Speaking at the event, Principal of the school, Winifred Odire said inter-house sports competition was an avenue used by the institution to foster physical and social development of the pupils and students.

She stressed that the event was aimed at helping the students to discover and explore their talents and skills for all round development, adding that it would nurture them to become great sportsmen and women in the league of Okocha, Ronaldo, the Williams sisters, Mary Onyeali etc.

The Director of Studies, Eze John Enyindah Amadi while presenting trophies and gifts to the winners, thanked the students, teachers and others who contributed to the success of the competition.

He assured that next edition will be better as new innovations will be introduced.

The chairman, PTA Faasaa, comprehensive college, Rumuodara, Zorle Dim said the competition was a success and congratulated the students on the performance.
