‘Sports, Vital For Physical And Social Development’
The Director of Faasaa Group of Schools, Eze John Enyindah Amadi said Inter-house sports is a veritable instrument to foster physical and social development of students. Speaking during the 7th Annual inter-house sports competition of Faasaa Comprehensive College, Aluu in Rivers State which took place on Saturday, March 23rd, 2019 Amadi said his schools had used inter-house sports to nurture physically fit students contributing their quota to the development of the society.
“At Faasaa Group of schools, we have curriculum that makes for all-round education, and sports is one of them”, Eze Amadi said, stressing that with the inter-house sports competitions, the school is poised to produce potential winners in Nigerian university games and Olympics.
Also speaking, the Principal of Faasaa Comprehensive College Aluu, Mrs. Chikwe Florence said the students competed in a variety of sports, including 100 and 200 metre races as well as relay race.
She expressed satisfaction with the standard of the competition and thanked the school’s Director for what she called, his positive vision.
At the end of the keenly contested sports event, Blue House came first and carted away the gold trophy, Red House came second while White House took the third position.
Individual winners for the various houses were presented with various items, including cash by the proprietor of the school.
