INEC Issues 2.83m PVCs In Rivers
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has issued a total of 2,833,101 (Two million, eight hundred and thirty three thousand, one hundred and one) PVCs to voters in Rivers State.
This was contained in the Commission’s Operation Infor-Kit for 2019 General Elections dated 16th February/2nd March, 2019 given to journalists.
The operation manual indicates that the PVCs were distributed across the 23 local government areas of the State as follows: Abua Odual, 81,505, Ahoada East, 75,426, Ahoada West, 64,654, Akuku-Toru, 98,329, Andoni, 121,228, Asari-Toru, 73,394, Bonny, 64,708, Degema, 68,187, Eleme 105,290, Emohua, 106,944, Etche, 107,712, Gokana, 116,784, Ikwerre, 130,466, Khana, 153,912, Obio/Akpor, 557,029, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni, 124,454, Ogu/Bolo. 46,607, Okrika, 66,698, Omuma, 58,266, Opobo/Nkoro, 40,756, Oyigbo, 83,195, Port Harcourt, 423,209 and Tai, 64,348.
The manual further shows that INEC registered a total of 3,215,273 voters, while 382,172 PVCs were yet be collected as at 11th February, 2019 when these figures were compiled.
