APC Supporters Defect In Ogu/Bolo

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, Chief Jonah Tamuno Furubowarifama, Woman Leader, Mrs. Ibitoroko Kpuwaiseibema and hundreds of APC supporters in the area have dumped the party for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Speaking on behalf of the decampees at the state governorship campaign rally of the Peoples Democratic Party rally at Ogu, headquarters of Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, last Tuesday, Tanuno-Furubowarifama said as the founder of PDP in the area, he only went on transit but was now back to his rightful place.

He expressed delight that he was back with his numerous supporters and thanked Senator George Thompson Sekibo, Barr Vincent Nemieboka, Rt Hon Evans Bapakaye Bipi, Hon Boma Iyaye, Sir Victor Alabo among others for making his home coming a reality.

The former APC leader described Governor Nyesom Wike as a friend indeed and a dogged politician, stating that the governor has performed credibly well and deserves to be re-elected. He promised to join hands with other leaders to ensure the success of the party.

Speaking to our correspondent on the sideline of the event, the former APC Woman Leader in the area, Mrs. Ibitoroko Kpuwaiseibema said they were tired of deceit and had no option than to join the moving train rather than the sinking boat.

The state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Bro Felix Obuah lauded the decampees for the bold step they took and charged the N.A. PDP chairman, Engr Arnold David to integrate them into the system, as they had dropped their brooms.

In his speech, the State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike commended the leader of the decampees for going on sabbatical and highlighted that he had fulfilled his campaign promises of rebuilding the demolished Government Secondary School, Corpers’ Quarters, sandfilling of Owukiri all in Ogu and the on-going Bolo eternal roads, fencing of Community Secondary School Bolo among others.

Wike further promised to connect Wakama-Ama Community to Ogu through a road network and enjoined everyone to vote for all the PDP candidates in the forthcoming elections for more projects and appointments.
