Aisha Buhari Cautions Youth Against Election Violence
Nigeria’s First Lady, Mrs Aisha Buhari on Tuesday led women and youth of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South South to a mobilization and sensitization campaign rally in Port Harcourt, with a charge on the youth in the region to shun violence in the forthcoming national and state elections.
Mrs Buhari who was represented by the wife of the Vice President, Pastor Oludapo Osinbajo urged the women and youth at the rally to ensure that the elections are peaceful and devoid of violence.
She commended the women for their commitment to the party, adding that the Buhari administration will continue to better the life of women and youth in the region.
Also speaking, Mrs Judith Amaechi, wife of the Minister of Transportation, assured the first lady of the readiness of the women and youth in the South South to support the re-election of the President and other candidates.
Others who attended the rally included the National Women Leader of the Party, Hajiya Salamatu Bawa, Mrs Betsy Godwin Obaseke of Edo State and wife of the Party National Chairman, Mrs Lara Adams Oshionmole.
