Ijaw Students Reward The Vortex Publisher For Philanthropy Manasseh F. Paul-Worika
Ijaw students have been told to demonstrate great courage in the effort to position the Niger Delta in its rightful place in the Nigerian federation.
Editor-in-chief of The Vortex Newspapers, Dr. Alpheaus Paul-Worika, stated this when Ijaws students in Rivers state University, Nkpolu, Port Harcourt presented him with an award in recognition of his philanthropic contributions to Ijaw students.
Paul-Worika expressed gratitude to the students for the award and urged them to remain focused and determined towards whatever course of action they embark on.
Nothing that only with discipline can success be attained, Paul-Worika advised the students to overcome pressures of cultism and sexual harassments but remain committed to their studies and stand their ground so that no one can take them for granted.
Paul-Worika urged the students to strive to protect the unity of the Ijaw Nation wherever they found themselves, noting that great strength lies in unity.
Presenting the award with other executives of the Union, the vice president of the National Union of Izon-Ebe students, Rivers State University Chapter, Miss Brown Hildah Maxwell, congratulated Dr. Paul-Worika on the award.
She stated that the award was in recognition of his outstanding support for the progress of the Ijaw Nation, particularly students of Ijaw extraction, noting that he was selected after a painstaking process.
